Randall Fisher dedicated his life to building more than homes; he helped build a stronger community. Born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, Randall began his construction career in 1958. Over the years, he built countless homes, churches, businesses, and subdivisions throughout our region, leaving a lasting mark on the community he loved. In 1969, Randall recognized the need to bring local builders together to promote integrity, professionalism, and affordable housing. Through his vision and determination, the Cleveland Builders Association was chartered in 1970, eventually becoming the Ocoee Region Builders Association. He proudly served as President for two years and helped establish the strong voice our association continues to have today. Beyond his accomplishments in the building industry, Randall served 21 years as a Bradley County Commissioner and was devoted to his faith, his beloved wife Judith, and their family. His involvement in church, public service, and the building industry reflected a lifetime of leadership and service to others. ORBA was proud to honor Randall in 2010 for his extraordinary contributions. We will forever be grateful for his vision, dedication, and the foundation he helped build for our association. His legacy will always be a part of ORBA's history.
Honoring Extraordinary Contributions
James Early Roberson was a true pioneer in Cleveland’s homebuilding industry and helped lay the foundation for what we proudly know today as the Ocoee Region Builders Association. As one of Cleveland’s first licensed residential contractors, James recognized the importance of bringing local builders together. In 1968, he helped unite 41 builders to establish the Cleveland-Bradley Builders Association, creating a strong voice for the building industry. His dedication to the association continued throughout his career, including serving as President in 1981. In August 2017, ORBA proudly honored James with its Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his many years of leadership, service, and dedication to the building industry. James passed away in December 2018, but the impact he made on our association and community lives on. We will forever be grateful for his vision, commitment, and the foundation he helped build. His legacy will always hold a special place in ORBA's history.
