Since 1971, ORBA’s presidents have provided vision, leadership and dedication to strengthen the building industry and our community.
ORBA’s history is built by volunteer leaders, builders, and industry partners, whose service has strengthened the building industry and our local community. Their dedication, vision, and commitment have helped shape ORBA into what it is today — and their legacy continues to build a stronger tomorrow for generations to come.
A lifelong Cleveland resident and third-generation builder, Michael Blankinship has carried on a family tradition of craftsmanship, integrity, and dedication to the building industry. After graduating from Bradley Central High School in 1997, Michael began his career at Cleveland Plywood before joining his father, Charles, in the family construction business originally founded by his grandfather, C.C. Blankinship. Today, Michael and his brother Kevin continue that legacy through C.C. Blankinship Custom Home Builders, Inc. Over the years, Michael has helped build, renovate, or improve more than 500 homes throughout our region.
Michael’s commitment to building extends far beyond the jobsite. He has generously shared his time and talents with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, City Fields, Isaiah House, and Life Bridges, helping make a difference for families throughout our community. As ORBA’s Immediate Past President, he continues to serve on the Board of Directors, mentor the next generation of builders, and lend a helping hand wherever needed. Whether supporting an ORBA event, sharing his knowledge, or volunteering on a community project, Michael is always willing to step up.
Michael and his wife of 18 years are proud parents of two sons. His dedication to family, community, and the building industry reflects the very spirit of ORBA—building more than homes, but building a stronger tomorrow.
